What Happens When You Delete Your Account

Deletion is processed in two stages, matching our backend deletion endpoint (DELETE /api/v1/auth/delete-account/):

Immediately: your name, email, and phone number are anonymised; your account is deactivated and you are logged out of all devices; your push notification token is removed so no further notifications are sent.
Within 90 days: your account and remaining data are permanently and irreversibly hard-deleted from our systems. The short retention window exists solely to preserve audit/fraud logs as required for academic-integrity investigations already in progress, and to allow you to contact us if the request was made in error.

What Is Deleted vs. Retained

DataOutcome
Name, email, phone number, CNICDeleted / anonymised immediately
Login credentials & active sessionsRevoked immediately
Push notification (FCM) tokenDeleted immediately
Quiz / mock exam / flashcard historyAnonymised, then erased after 90 days
Subscription / billing statusAnonymised, then erased after 90 days
Crash/diagnostic logs (Firebase)Governed by Google Firebase's own retention policy
This action cannot be undone once the 90-day window has passed. If you change your mind, contact [email protected] before the retention period ends and we can restore your account.
See our Privacy Policy for full details on what data we collect and how it is used prior to deletion.
